Why we should practice meditation.

Meditation

There is a wealth of scientific evidence demonstrating the benefits of meditation for our bodies, which you can find in various sources. Rather than delving into that, I'd like to share another reason for its importance.

  1. Resolving Emotional Problems at Their Core:

Trouble doesn't always equate to sadness, but trouble without a strong mental foundation can lead to sadness. Life is a journey, and facing problems is inevitable. There are two types of problems:

Depression, stess

  • Recalled Problems

  • The Real Problems

For instance, right now, as you read this page, you might not be experiencing any negative physical or emotional feelings. However, if you start thinking about past instances where others used vulgar language towards you, you may become upset. These are the problems you recall, and they are a major source of emotional distress, including guilt, vengefulness, and sadness. While it's natural to experience these emotions, our minds can be quite resistant to handling them. The good news is that we can train our minds through meditation. Meditation is not a ritual or a religious practice; it is a form of mental development. During meditation, you practice detaching from all thoughts and finding inner peace. If your mind is particularly difficult to manage, you can focus on an object or your breath to help calm it. So, when you find yourself thinking about a problem, meditation can help you stop dwelling on Recalled Problems. Moreover, the peace of mind you attain through meditation becomes a great shield for managing life's challenges. I recommend you not to rush to take mental pill before you pracetice meditaion. I have seen many people who are getting worse because of it's side effect. All happiness come from the mind not body.

2. The True Refuge:

Many people who are feeling sad or overwhelmed turn to substances like alcohol or medication to cope with their problems. Some even turn to drugs. However, as mentioned in the previous paragraph, meditation can rejuvenate one's mind and help confront these issues head-on, providing a healthier alternative for coping with emotional difficulties.

3. The True Goal of Life:

Throughout life, we set various goals that change depending on our circumstances, situations, and age. Some of these goals bring pure happiness, while others do not. In the end, many of these goals can be tainted with worry and anxiety.

Let's take a closer look at our lives. We have expectations regarding people, possessions, and even animals, thinking that they will bring us happiness. The unfortunate reality is that everything is beyond our control, including ourselves. Moreover, precious things are rare and limited, leading to competition in their acquisition. This competition often sours the joy of obtaining them because once you have them, you worry about losing them. When you eventually lose them, you may find yourself overwhelmed with sorrow.

However, meditation is different. It is a goal that can bring unconditional happiness throughout the journey, much like the teachings of Buddha. The peace of mind achieved through meditation surpasses all forms of conditional happiness. If you make meditation a goal in your life, you can cultivate something that is free from all conditions except your own willingness to practice it."

4.The Nourishment of Positive Thinking:

Meditation represents the pinnacle of all spiritual knowledge. All forms of knowledge are essentially practiced to address problems and enable the mind to be liberated from worries, making meditation more accessible. Moreover, meditation serves as the nourishment for positive thinking. When your mind is in a good state, it naturally inclines you toward positive thoughts, words, and actions.
